Despite adding Olli Maatta back in October, Utah still feels the effects of the injuries to defenseman Sean Durzi and John Marino.

The Utah Hockey Club has claimed Nick DeSimone from waivers and the Los Angeles Kings have placed Arthur Kaliyev on waivers.

The New Jersey Devils placed defenseman Nick DeSimone on waivers Saturday. The 30-year-old DeSimone has yet to appear in a game this season for the Devils, mostly spending his time in the NHL this year as a healthy scratch.

The Devils announced that they have recalled right-shot defenseman Nick DeSimone from AHL Utica. He fills one of two open spots on their active roster, so no corresponding move is necessary.

The New Jersey Devils have made a roster move, placing defenseman Nick Desimone on waivers. DeSimone, 30, has yet to appear in a game this season with the Devils and has served as an extra defender while with the NHL squad.
