Don't disregard ESPN analyst Rex Ryan in the New York Jets' head-coaching search. Per ESPN's Rich Cimini, Ryan will interview with the Jets on Tuesday in Palm Beach, Florida. The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt suggested that Ryan's relationship with Jets owner Woody Johnson may give him an edge over other candidates.

Ryan had been the head coach the last time the Jets made a postseason appearance and under his reign, the Jets made back-to-back AFC Championship Game appearances in 2009 and 2010. He was fired after the 2014 season when the team went 4-12.

Rex Ryan has not been shy about campaigning for the New York Jets' head coaching job, which he previously held for six seasons from 2009-2014, arguing in November he'd restore the lowly franchise if given a second chance.
