Jan 19, 2013 · I have a 1970 DeVille. I just rebuilt the motor and I'm about to put it back in. I'm looking at the AC system. Has anyone converted their AC from R12 to R134a? I'm told there are a TON of "leak points" in these older systems and going to R134a could become a nightmare process. R12 is SO expensive and and becoming quite scarce.

Feb 18, 2004 · I have a 1971 Coupe DeVille with around a 140,000 miles on the original 472 and its time to either rebuild or get a new engine. My thoughts were to drop a 454 in it due to the fact that parts are a bit easier to find for the 454 and cheaper.

Mar 7, 2020 · So I am wondering about the difference between a 1971 472 and 1973 472 in the Coupe DeVille that makes the 1971 reported to produce 375 HP and the 1973 reported to produce only 220 Hp. How could I convert my 1973 220 HP to 375 HP? The way I understand it Cadillac made this change in 1972 to make the govvy happier about its fuel efficiency.
