Dec 26, 2014 · Watching baseball, there is a significant amount of time to fill. When casters comment on only what you can see (when you're already watching the game), they're not drawing on the creative, the history, the unseen, etc. Joe Buck is absolutely horrible at casting, as he lacks significantly in providing any colorful insight or value to the viewership.

I don't mind Joe Buck. As a Royals fan growing up, Joe Buck's voice during a baseball game meant that it was a BIG game, something that I thought the Royals would never play in. When the Royals were good for a couple years, I was excited to hear his voice call Royals games in October. I can also understand why national broadcasts suck.

He and Troy Aikman always talk like they're trying so hard to impress one another desperate for the other's approval and I swear one day they'll end up making out on live TV.

Oct 4, 2011 · Joe Buck, besides Al Michaels, is my favorite play by play announcer in the NFL right now. He's a lot like Pat Summerall- he lets the action of the play speak louder than his words. I feel like the crowd noise or the camera shots of players' expressions tell you a lot more about the emotion of a game than anything an announcer says possibly can.

Aikman is out of touch with today’s football world and loves to talk about players who aren’t even on the field, for example talking about Brett Farve.
