The next Detroit Free Press Marathon weekend will take place Oct. 18-20, 2024. The Marathon, International Half-Marathon, Motor City Half-Marathon and Marathon Relay take place on Sunday, Oct. 20. The 5K, 1-Mile, Kids Marathon and Meijer Little Detroit Dash happen on Saturday, Oct. 19. 2024 dates: Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024
Detroit Free Press Marathon – Course Maps
Start Line Location – Sunday Races. The Sunday Start Line for all Sunday races is located on Fort St. between 1st and 2nd. Gear check is located near the finish line on Monroe, just north of Campus Martius, and is open from 5:30am-2:30pm.

Pricing and registration details. Online registration for the Marathon, Adaptive Athlete, Marathon Relay, International Half-Marathon, The Wonder (International Half) and The Supreme will be open through 11:59 p.m. Sept. 9, 2024.
Detroit Free Press Marathon – International Half-Marathon
The International Half-Marathon will showcase some of the best features that Detroit and Canada have to offer. The course will include trips across the Ambassador Bridge and through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, plus a route moving through Downtown and Midtown Detroit.

Detroit Free Press Marathon – Getting downtown
TRAVELING FROM THE EAST OF METRO DETROIT. Drive to and park in Greektown (east of Finish Line): Head downtown via Gratiot Ave., which will be open through-out race day. Randolph St. and Beaubien Blvd. turning south from Gratiot is open until the closure at Lafayette.
