Jun 3, 2020 · I am new to Solidworks and one problem I keep running into is that when I sketch a simple 2D drawing, particularly a rectangle, the face is blue or gray and it says it is under defined. This happens regardless whether I sketch it using lines or the rectangle tool button.

I'm trying to import a large (13,000+ entity) autocad drawing into a solidworks 2D drawing. I tried doing it a few months ago and even after fully purging the drawing, the result in solidworks is an overwhelmingly slow monster, even on a fast pc properly configured for SW. Every line has a large dot distractiing dot at it's endpoints.

When I try to create 2D drawings from some parts, I end up getting missing lines or line segments in the drawing views. For instance, one part I was working on had some holes on it. Some of the holes were missing part of the line the defines the hole. It makes the drawing look very messy and hard to dimmension.

A section of the part is bluit on curves and rads and when I create the model you can see the mess that it creates. Is there a way to get rid of the extra detail. (I am trying to match there drawing which doesn't have this detail) Thanks!
