Sep 9, 2024 · Among Tamron AF lenses for Pentax within the standard focal range, this is only second to 28-75 2.8. I got a copy of Tamron Anniversary version. It is just a difference in appearance, no big deal. I bought it from a seller in Australia, at an acceptable price, a bit more than HKD 1000, more than 2 years ago. I was using K-3II.

In many tests the Tamron 18-250mm has been found to be a great improvement over the Tamron 18-200. (Note that there is (now discontinued) rebadged Pentax version of the 18-250mm lens. The lenses are mainly believed to be identical modulo cosmetics.

Jan 13, 2024 · The Tamron Adaptall-2 55BB is probably the best catadioptric “mirror” lens for the average photographer. I’ve owned four CAT lenses, the 55BB, Tokina 500/8, Celestron 500/5.6 and Opteka 500/8. This Tamron is far and away the best, well worth having in ones kit. Sharpness is very good, I’d have given it an 8.5 if the rating were available.

Feb 27, 2024 · The Tamron was slightly cooler. The Tamron was prone to slight purple fringing but not as prominent as the typical 70-300 zoom lens. IMO, any differences in the rendering of the two lenses may very well be attributed to the presumed use of SMC or BBAR coating. Surface reflections off the objective lenses do have different characteristics.

There are 52mm variations, 58mm variations, and a 62mm version....that 62mm version escapes me The 28mm f2.8 Tamron-F has a high gloss paint and comes with a square hood, it's really a very beautiful looking lens and it is very well constructed.
