I received the same letter. I still receive a Retiree Discount on my Regular Store Credit Card on my Macy's American Express Card so I was very upset thinking they are taking the Discount away. I called the 1-800-593-2543 as stated in the letter.

Aug 8, 2024 · -Is the charge off amount normally for the past due balance? Or the entire loan balance? I feel like it’s my word against theirs and I’m very upset because I made a lot of efforts to get on good terms with them. It seems very strange that it was charged off over 48 hours after I spoke with them and scheduled a payment. Just very confused!

Feb 12, 2021 · THANK GOD. It was a small credit union and I always communicated with the same bank employee. After I paid it off, they sent me the title and I sold the car. Now I'm very upset to see it reflected on my credit report as 2 years of "no data" while I made payments and then the month I paid it off as "CO".

Jun 16, 2021 · I've read quite a bit online, and all the people who had their Citi account closed, they all recieved a letter with explaination in it, regardless how silly the reason is, at least there's a reason why they shutdown the account, how come I didn't get any explainnation in the letter. very upset about this.

Nov 17, 2019 · Fast forward to now, and I'm very proactive about keeping utilization low as possible if a balance is needed. Otherwise most of my cards are at zero. It seems that so mannay people are genuinely surprised/upset at CLD's or closures over being maxed out for a long time and only paying the minimums. I'm honestly surprised their surprised.
