Aug 3, 2012 · My 2009 Ultra Classic I installed Kury grips inducing an issue that caused the engine light to come on and the bike going into limp mode. Other than that, I have had no issues In addition, I have had the recalls performed on the bike. However, you may want to do a search regarding 6 speed Trany issues. I did a lot of reading when I got my 09 Ultra.

May 19, 2009 · I have a 2009 Street Glide and just had the horn, cruise, turn signals, and brake light all quite working. I don't have any blown fuses, and the turn signals still flash when I turn the ignition off indicating that the security system is activated. Any ideas of what this could be would be greatly appreciated.

Aug 21, 2008 · Well I did it. I pick up my 2009 Ultra Classic tomorrow! It is Black Pearl, which was the same color of my 05 Deluxe. I sold it for what I asked, 15K and am happier than ever. I hope it all works out with the changes. I think most are positive. Wish me luck!:bigsmiley20:

Aug 16, 2009 · They do have a caution: Use Harley Davidson oil filter wrench for filter removal. This tool can prevent damage to crankshaft position sensor and or sensor cable. With a search of this forum you'll be able to find other tips on how to remove the oil filter without dropping it all over the front of the bike. I'm still trying to get one to work ...

Oct 13, 2010 · I just replaced both my front and rear at around 10,000. I bought the bike with 5,000 from the prior owner and doubt he ever replaced them. The front tire still had quite a bit of tread on it but the rear was looking a bit slick in the center. Figured I'd just start anew. Oh yeah, and I replaced them with the OEM Harley Davidson branded Dunlops.

May 10, 2009 · 8K+ miles on a Sportster 883 and moved up to the 09 ultra classic 6 week ago, just passed 1,000 miles. Stock set up is working for me, we've spent 7 and 8 hours a day on the bike with no problems. It is alot heavier than the sporty so be careful at stops, especially when the pavement is slopped in one direction where your feet won't reach.

Aug 22, 2011 · I have an 09 ultra with street glide shocks, progressive springs w/ricor up front, and the "low" stock seat ('10 and later), I don't bottom out with a passenger and the bike loaded up, its a harsher ride, but the security of putting my feet down is worth it, and I drive the bike through the streets of nyc, not the kindest of roads, I am 5'7.5" w/ 30" inseam btw.
