Oct 6, 2017 · 4K at 27" is just fine, scaling at 150% works in most situations. Now 4K at 15" is a different story. Bigger is always better though so if you can afford the same quality in a 30-32 then I would go there. Personally I wouldnt' get something pricey now.

Apr 20, 2022 · Honestly, I wouldn't deal with the performance hit of 4K gaming on a 27" monitor. (I have a 28" 4K display as well as 40 and 43" displays). The difference isn't as pronounced at that size and doesn't seem like a giant improvement over 2560x1440. At 1440 with a 4090, you can largely skip using DLSS or resolution scaling/upscaling. At 4K, you can't.

Aug 29, 2010 · To solve this problem we can use OS scaling, windows offer this function by "zooming the desktop" to 125%, 150% and so on. Zooming desktop produces blurred images because it effectively scales the desktop, like scaling a small image in a bigger one. This results in having a 4K monitor that is less sharp than a FullHD monitor.

Oct 6, 2009 · Text and elements just become too small and some programs dont work well with windows scaling. 32" 4k works a lot better and you'll notice the improved DPI without sacrificing usability. That seems more like a you problem than a 4K 27" problem. It probably isn't the best screen for you though. Sep 24, 2023.

If gaming is a priority I actually would get the IPS, VA screens tend to smear badly in dark scenes (I have the LG UD3259-B and is super smeary even visible while browsing the web).

Messages. 1,369. 48" has the same PPI as a 24" 1080p (of course since a 4K monitor is 4x1080p tiled together), 92PPI. 44" has the same PPI as a 22" 1080p or a 30" 1600p, 100PPI. 40" is 108PPI. I personally find even the 100PPI of 30" a bit small for my tastes with text, although maybe that's just old age.

Jan 16, 2015 · 16:10 is basically a dead aspect ratio at this point, and honestly using a 4K monitor it doesn't seem necessary. What is necessary is making sure your 4K monitor is large enough that you can use it without a lot of scaling, though. I wouldn't really bother with anything less than 30" if your primary purpose is work.

Jul 5, 2016 · However, I've talked her out of it seeing as the HD 530 can drive 4K @60 Hz over DP 1.2, which both the monitor and motherboard that will be used in the build support. While the board claims to support HDMI 2.0, the I7 6700 that will be used in the build does not support HDMI 2.0 as far as I can tell.
What's the point of 4k if you scale up the size of things?
Apr 5, 2006 · 32" 4k is 138 PPI. 24" 1440p is 122 PPI. My current monitor is a single 1600x1200 21" Dell FP2007 (95 DPI). I had a second monitor but it's so ancient that my new build's video card doesn't have a jack for it and I wanted to upgrade my monitor anyways, it's an aged 1440x900 from like 11 years ago.
