Mar 20, 2008 · That 5,000 pound rating has at least a 100% safety factor built in. I tow a 4,000 pound car on top of a 1500 pound trailer and it works perfect. I often will tow that same trailer with my wife's tahoe, with my tahoe on the trailer. So that is a 5600 pound Tahoe on the 1500 pound trailer, again, no problems.

May 22, 2008 · From what I understand, Chevrolet didn't offer a Z71 package on the two-door 95-99 Tahoes. There was one on the 1999-2000 old body style four doors though. I'm pretty sure if you see a 1995-99 two-door with Z71 it is just a sticker someone put on it. But to be sure, check the label in the glove box and see if "Z71" is an option code listed.

Nov 13, 2008 · Well, if you are looking to make a tricked out truck, as would be the purpose for dumping in an LS motor, then you would want a better transmission than the 4L60E, or at LEAST beef it up and upgrade it with better disks and servos + shift kit. As far as I know, there is a lot that goes into an LS swap, but it is worthwhile.

Remove the two bolts and slowly lower the tank enough to get access to the 3 lines ( 2 are fuel and 1 is the vent ) and the 2 electrical connectors.
