Any tips for matching loudness on a batch of songs?
Apr 15, 2004 · Now, one song, you may have to increase compression and limiting and another song you can back off compression and limiting. This may be counter-intuitive. In other words, Loud songs may need less compression and quiet ones may need more. It depends on the musicians playing the songs, but a loud distorted guitar often needs very little compression.

Aug 26, 2010 · Mastering (usually referring to the entire project or album) Sonar excels at the first two, but since you can't insert cd markers your reduced to exporting each song and reassembling them in a cd burning program or a wave editor that can insert cd markers. Sonar can master songs individually, just not as a group.

Opening .SNG files with Sonar LE or Converting SNG to MID files
Jul 31, 2009 · I also had an X3 and would like to convert the .sng files to Standard Midi Files.mid. The sng2mid program above ( it has been around for a while and was developed by some guy to convert Korg I-3 sequences) would not work in Windows Me XP or Vista. I once borrowed an N365 and was able to load a bunch of sequence files and sav them to SMF (.mid).
